Athena walked into the store. Anyone watching could have seen signs of timidity. In the muggle world she always knew what she was doing, never had to ask for help. Now all she knew was that she was supposed to buy books from this strange place and had no idea where to begin. She walked quietly to the counter where she saw the owner, Finally looking at him when she reached the desk
"...Hello? I...I need help.. I don't understand this list, and Im supposed to buy textbooks. Is there any way you could help?"
She handed over the list she had received from hogwarts and carefully scanned the eccentric crowd of people wandering in and out of the store.
Athena was born fourteen years ago to a family of Muggles. She had one older brother, but hardly ever saw him as he ran away from home at sixteen. Neither she nor her parents ever knew of her powers until recently. About a month ago, as she was running errands for her parents, she turned down an alley only to see her brother being brutally beaten. She dropped everything that she was holding and ran towards him, rage at the attackers clouding her vision although in retrospect she should have been terrified. Almost instantly, the attackers disappeared, to be replaced by small white rabbits, who scurried away frantically. Unsure of what had just happened, she made sure her brother was okay and ran back home, only to be contacted by the Ministry of Magic the next day. Albus Dumbledore helped her get out of a long trial and possible imprisonment at Azkaban, and invited her to transfer to Hogwarts, where she can learn to control her long suppressed powers.
Personality:
Athena is a perfectionist, known to cry over getting a B on her Muggle academic tests. She has been on every academic team her Muggle school offered and places high value on academic achievement. This perfectionism is both her strength and, at times, her weakness. She is generous and especially adept at making friends with almost anyone, but at times harbors jealousy. A life of taking care of her older parents, and helping with the neighborhood children has given her a good work ethic, although many times she regrets spending so much time helping others.

Brooke's heart fluttered. "Uhm... I think this is going to get bad. What do you think Leo?" Her swimming slowed untill she was only floating there. "I think we should get out of here..."

"I think that they're just like the Centaurs... they don't like human magic... I think we better be careful..." She glanced around at the creatures that were now surrounding them. Including Kappas.

"Letīs just swim down further. They must be in the deep... I can almost hear them sing."
They then began to swim into the dark. Suddenly a light appeared. It was the Lumos spell from Leoīs wand. Dark and gloomy fish began to appear and the cold was getting colder.

She did a twist in the water. Man it this was cool! But... it was cold. "This water is sooo cold!" She squeaked to Leo. "How far down do you think?" Brooke asked him as she swam nearer. Being able to breath underwater, but with her human body, swimming like this is... well... she just has to do this more often.

His voice was of fear and dread. But all was well for Brooke was with him...
